so it’s no secret that i adore this show and i love this show and that i accept this show for everything it is and hoped to be and sometimes failed to be and ultimately achieved, but man oh man, lemme talk about the soundtrack and this song in particular. the way it’s so hopeful and so full of cheer and mystique and hearkens back to the central theme with every verse and how she’s gone from Portuguese to Afro-Indian to First Nations music to American Folk and yes i know every word and yes i usually sing it in the shower.
